The Street Maintenance Division commonly referred to as the Street Department is an integral part of the City of Farmington Public Works Department. The street superintendent manages the division which is responsible for the maintenance of 220 miles of paved streets and 30 miles of dirt streets, public parking lots, right-of-ways, utility easements and storm water drainage systems within the City of Farmington.

The Street Division is responsible for snow and ice control in the winter, and, flood control when it rains.

​Street Restriction for Street Maintenance

Crackseal Project

Please be advised a major street maintenance project will begin Monday, March 13, 2017 through April 14, 2017.  Crackseal will be completed on several streets throughout the City. A list of the streets to be completed each week will be posted. 

Streets will be restricted with detours and barricading in place.  Delays are expected.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.  Public patience and cooperation will be appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Construction hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
