Upcoming Art Walks:
Friday • August 12th 5pm-9pm
On Friday, the 12th, from 5 to 9 pm, three Downtown Galleries will be open to celebrate ART!
Three Rivers Art Center (123 E. Main) will be having an opening reception for its Annual Members Exhibit. The show will include work by both gallery and general members and will be up through September 3. TRAC will also be having a new fundraiser for all "pet lovers"
Due to popular demand, Studio 116 (116 W. Main) will continue to have on display, "Divine Design", the nude art exhibit. There will be a few more pieces added to the show, as well. There will also be live music in this locale...Mike Easterling (tada!) and "The Sandstoners from 6 to 8 pm
At Artifacts, (302 E. Main) the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners will be presenting an exhibition with subject matter from the Big Bend Area of Texas. Ten artists, including Steve Unger, Kathy Walling, Julane Jenson, Fran Mayfield, Carolyn Dailey, Debbie Doty, Evelyn James, Jane Clayton, Helen Bruski, and Marilyn Taylor traveled to Texas several times to paint the outdoors and will be showing the work created on their travels The themed show "Drawn Image", at Artifacts, will include the work of several local artists.
