The Farmington Museum Foundation's primary function is to support the Farmington Museum by raising funds for exhibits, programs, and facilities serving as a conduit to for the acquisition of items and collections, and promoting public relations for the Museum.
Funds are raised through membership, memorial donations, and annual fundraisers such as the Annual Navajo Rug Auction.
Foundation members look for needed items and purchase them through acquisition funds or memorials, or aide in getting them donated. The group works to increase the Endowment Fund for future growth and expansion of the Museum.
Public relations include a bi-monthly newsletter; radio, television and newspaper releases; Foundation exhibit receptions, volunteer events, and special events.
