Downtown Farmington: A MainStreet Program

Our Mission: Making downtown the heart of our community, again.

About Our Partners:

Main Street America has been helping revitalize older and historic commercial districts for more than 35 years. Today it is a network of more than 1,600 neighborhoods and communities, rural and urban, who share both a commitment to place and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. Main Street America is a program of the nonprofit National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The New Mexico MainStreet Program is a grassroots economic development program that assists communities in revitalizing their traditional commercial districts. A program of the New Mexico Economic Development Department, MainStreet works throughout New Mexico to help affiliated local organizations create an economically viable business environment while preserving cultural and historic resources.

With the new roundabout on Rinconada and Foothills becoming operational and our new downtown roundabouts scheduled for construction soon, Downtown Farmington: A MainStreet Project felt it would be a good idea to post this really helpful and informative video from the City of Albuquerque about the use and safety features of a modern roundabout.

Thank you to the City of Albuquerque for allowing us to use it.
