Pieced Together: Exploring America's History through Quilts

Tuesday, September 9

Join the Farmington Museum and the San Juan Quilters’ Guild for the history of the Civil War and Depression as told by quilts. Jeananne Wright, an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser, will be giving two public presentations. The first, Gather up the Fragments: Civil War Quilts, will explore how quilts and the Civil War are interwoven. This trunk show features quilts from the years 1840-1870. The second, Uncommon Quilts from Common Threads: Feedsack Quilts and More, will take participants on a nostalgic journey through the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. These two presentations will be offered twice during the day at the Farmington Museum.
