    On Friday's in the summer, come to Downtown Farmington's gazebo in Orchard Park, grab some lunch, take a break from work, listen to live music and relax. Three Rivers Eatery & Brew House will sell burgers and hotdogs so come enjoy yourself! TGIF is brought to you by the Farmington Downtown Association and is sponsored by City of Farmington's Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Affairs.

  2. Rod Run Block Party

    July 19, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Historic Downtown Farmington

    Join us in Downtown Farmington for the “Cool Cars Under the Stars” ROD RUN BLOCK PARTY. Cars, Live Music, A Wine & Beer Garden, Great Food, and Lots of Fun in Historic Downtown Farmington. Presented by the Farmington Downtown Association in partnership with the Northern New Mexico Street Rodders. Sponsored by Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Affairs and the Farmington Civic Center.

  1. Picnic in the Park for Preschoolers

    April 1, 11:00 AM - September 30, 12:30 PM @ Riverside Nature Center

    Preschool children and their families bring lunch and meet at the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park for a picnic, followed by a story or activity and a stroller-friendly walk in the park. Learn about plants, insects, birds, and all the interesting wildlife. Feed the friendly ducks, and go home in time for naps. This program continues every week throughout the spring and summer.

  2. Summer Terrace Series

    June 7, 6:00 PM - August 30, 7:30 PM @ Farmington Museum at Gateway Park

    Outdoor concerts hosted most Saturday nights at 6:00 p.m. throughout the summer. Concerts take place on the picturesque terrace, next to the river, at Farmington Museum at Gateway Park.

  3. Outdoor Summer Theatre - FOOTLOOSE!

    June 19, 8:00 PM - August 2 @ Lions Wilderness Park

    Enjoy a popular production brought to you by Sandstone Productions. Experience live theater in the beautiful, natural sandstone outdoor amphitheater, at Lion Wilderness Park. Concessions are available. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays and begin at 8:00 p.m. For tickets and more information, call (877)599-333.

  4. Navajo Blanket Donation Exhibit

    June 21 - September 9 @ The Farmington Museum

    The Farmington Museum is proud to announce an incredible gift of 21 historic Navajo blankets generously donated by XTO Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation. The Navajo blankets range in age from 1870 to 1900 and contain two third-phase Chief’s blankets, a small wearing blanket, and many other examples of early Navajo weaving from the blanket period. It is through their donation that the cultural beauty, legacy, and local Navajo heritage can be appreciated, preserved, and utilized to inspire future generations of Navajo weavers.

  5. Plants of Many Uses Exhibits

    July 1 - September 30 @ Riverside Nature Center

    Local plants were, and are, used in many ways for food, household items, and art. Visit this exhibit at the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park off Browning Parkway, which will change throughout the summer to learn about the many uses of our local plants. Some of these uses will be featured in Saturday activity programs and walks.

  6. "Stan", the Tyrannosaurus Rex and other related Dinosaur Exhbits

    July 3 - September 8 @ Farmington Museum

    Come visit "Stan", the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who is generously on loan from the Museum of Natural History & Science in Albuquerque, from NOW until September 8. Bring your family and friends to this FREE dinosaur diversion and other dinosaur exhibits at the Farmington Museum.

  7. Paint Like a Famous Artist Family Workshop - Edouard Manet

    July 19, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Farmington Museum

    Paint like Picasso! Mold like Michelangelo! Workshops will feature an art project in the style of a famous artist and are designed for families with children 8 years and older. Attend one, two, or three from1:00-4:00pm! Workshops are FREE, space is limited, & registration is required. Please call (505) 599-1174. On June 21 - Sculpt Like Henry Moore, Carving Stone, On July 18 - Paint Like Édouard Manet, Impressionist Still-Life, and on August 16 - Paint Like Giotto, Egg Paint.

  8. Outdoor Movie at the Museum - Field of Dreams

    July 19, 9:00 PM @ Farmington Museum

    Join the Farmington Museum on three starry evenings this summer for the first ever Outdoor Movies at the Museum! This year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Connie Mack World Series, the Museum will be presenting three classic family-friendly baseball movies on a big screen on the museum grounds. Bring a lawn chair, a jacket, and lots of snacks! The movies will be FREE, but donations are appreciated. On July 19 see Field of Dreams, July 26 see A League Of Their Own, and on August 2 see The Sandlot.
