Infoway email and dial up is no longer available

The Farmington Public Library’s Infoway email and dial-up services will no longer be available due to a fatal systems failure over the President’s Day weekend. The library's website at is still available.

Originally, provided to library patrons in 1996, the Infoway system equipment and software offered free dial-up Internet access to thousands of library patrons. In recent years, the Farmington Public Library kept the aging system operational for the few patrons that were still using Infoway for email and dial-up internet access, however, the obsolete equipment and software failed and cannot be replaced.

Currently, the library offers public computers and free wi-fi in the building for library card holders. The Library staff will be available for those needing assistance in selecting and accessing an email service to replace their Infoway email address.

We apologize for the inconvenience this outage may cause.
