  • There has been no breach of Farmington Electric Utility Control Systems
  • The City’s main operating system was not affected
  • This incident has been reported and we are in consultation with appropriate regulatory and law enforcement agencies

We apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused to our citizens. The City of Farmington invests significant resources in the latest technology in virus defense, including specific ransom ware software and multiple levels of virus protection.

Recovery operations are ongoing and will continue throughout the weekend.  We will provide updates and additional information as it becomes available.
