Category: Request For Proposals
Status: Awarded
Bid Recipient: Russell Planning and Engineering

The Farmington Metropolitan Planning Organization (FMPO) seeks responses from qualified consultants to provide professional consultant services in the preparation of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update. The successful proposer will have significant experience preparing bicycle and pedestrian master plans of comparable complexity and scale for MPOs similar to that of the FMPO.

The Farmington MPO is requesting qualifications from transportation planning and engineering consultants to update its 2008 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan for the Farmington MPO planning area. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update will specify how the plan will be achieved over time and implementation strategies for the proposed policies, prioritized infrastructure improvements and related programs. The plan will reflect current conditions, proposed new facilities, as well as projected cost estimates and funding potential to accomplish the projects and programs in the plan. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update will define policies, plans and programs to help the Farmington MPO area become a more walkable and bicycle friendly region while encouraging more people of all ages and abilities across the Farmington MPO area to safely walk and ride bicycles more often.

The goal of this scope of work is to ensure that all respondents are fully informed of all project requirements, deliverables and obligations.

This project is funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA).  Additional requirements may be required due to this funding.
