Small animals made by folding and wrapping split willow wands have been found in archaeological sites thousands of years old. Try your hand at this ancient craft, using willow cuttings from Animas Park, and take home your own creation. Some patience is required at first, so this is recommended for people 10 and older.

In August 21st, a TOTAL solar eclipse will be visible in the U.S. !!! Even though we are not in the path of totality, we will still have an amazing show: maximum eclipse will happen around 11:41am with the end around 1:09pm. Join us on the terrace at the Farmington Museum from 10am to 12:30pm for tons of family-friendly activities leading up to the big show. This is a FREE family event! We will have solar eclipse glasses available for the first 100 kids.

Get a team together and register for our Adult Coed Kickball League this fall. All players must be 18 years or older. Registration must be completed in-person at the Farmington Recreation Center by August 25 at 9:00 p.m. Games are Fridays from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. from September 1 - October 27.
