    May 23, 11:00 AM - July 25, 1:00 PM @ Orchard Park

    On Friday's in the summer, come to Downtown Farmington's gazebo in Orchard Park, grab some lunch, take a break from work, listen to live music and relax. Three Rivers Eatery & Brew House will sell burgers and hotdogs so come enjoy yourself! TGIF is brought to you by the Farmington Downtown Association and is sponsored by City of Farmington's Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Affairs.

  1. Registration for Wildlife Wednesdays

    March 25 - June 25 @ Riverside Nature Center

    Need a special summer activity for kids ages 7 -12? Register them by June 25 for Wildlife Wednesdays, a five-week series of outdoor activities and hikes (from July 2 - 30). Each week’s session is different, as we learn about bugs, birds, trails, the water creatures in the Animas River, plants, and more. $20 per person, snack included. Registration required at the Riverside Nature Center, or the Farmington Museum.

  2. Picnic in the Park for Preschoolers

    April 1, 11:00 AM - September 30, 12:30 PM @ Riverside Nature Center

    Preschool children and their families bring lunch and meet at the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park for a picnic, followed by a story or activity and a stroller-friendly walk in the park. Learn about plants, insects, birds, and all the interesting wildlife. Feed the friendly ducks, and go home in time for naps. This program continues every week throughout the spring and summer.

  3. Gateway to Imagination - A National Juried Art Competition

    May 10, 8:00 AM - July 12, 5:00 PM @ Farmington Museum at Gateway Park

    Held at the Farmington Museum at Gateway Park, this annual show attracts fine artists across the country. The show will feature approximately 100 works of art by artists from across the country. Entries vary from multimedia pieces, pottery, paintings, and photography.

  4. Summer Terrace Series

    June 7, 6:00 PM - August 30, 7:30 PM @ Farmington Museum at Gateway Park

    Outdoor concerts hosted most Saturday nights at 6:00 p.m. throughout the summer. Concerts take place on the picturesque terrace, next to the river, at Farmington Museum at Gateway Park.

  5. Outdoor Summer Theatre - FOOTLOOSE!

    June 19, 8:00 PM - August 2 @ Lions Wilderness Park

    Enjoy a popular production brought to you by Sandstone Productions. Experience live theater in the beautiful, natural sandstone outdoor amphitheater, at Lion Wilderness Park. Concessions are available. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays and begin at 8:00 p.m. For tickets and more information, call (877)599-333.

  6. Navajo Blanket Donation Exhibit

    June 21 - September 9 @ The Farmington Museum

    The Farmington Museum is proud to announce an incredible gift of 21 historic Navajo blankets generously donated by XTO Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation. The Navajo blankets range in age from 1870 to 1900 and contain two third-phase Chief’s blankets, a small wearing blanket, and many other examples of early Navajo weaving from the blanket period. It is through their donation that the cultural beauty, legacy, and local Navajo heritage can be appreciated, preserved, and utilized to inspire future generations of Navajo weavers.

  7. Paint Like a Famous Artist Family Workshop - Henry Moore

    June 21, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Farmington Museum

    Paint like Picasso! Mold like Michelangelo! Workshops will feature an art project in the style of a famous artist and are designed for families with children 8 years and older. Attend one, two, or three from1:00-4:00pm! Workshops are FREE, space is limited, & registration is required. Please call (505) 599-1174.
