    Maps have been used since the dawn of civilization to document places and to show physical features, such as rivers, roads, and boundaries. Upon closer examination, they also provide insights into the people that made them and the times in which they were created. Showcasing a variety of examples from the late nineteenth century to the present, the exhibition, North, South, East and West uses maps from the Farmington Museum collection to explore the history of the region.

  2. Wimbledon Tennis Camps Registration Deadline

    Summer Fun Jr. Development Tennis Camps provide an introduction to the game of tennis including instruction on techniques, rules, and strategies. Each participant needs to wear comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, and a hat or visor. Also bring sunscreen, a water bottle, tennis racket (or borrow one from the Pro Shop, 325-7936), a positive attitude, and a desire to have fun! The Wimbledon Tennis Camp has sessions for kids 4 to 17 years old running the week of July 9th. Space is limited, so sign-up early. Students will focus on five key areas: The Actor's Process, Musical Theatre and Character Development, Theatrical Movement, Devised Theatre and Scenic Design.
