The Farmington Police Department continues to meet the standards to remain accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The department went through the re-accreditation process in 2012 and was awarded a Gold Standard Certificate of Re-accreditation.

Department challenges are met by remaining responsive to community needs, employing innovative crime-fighting strategies, implementing state-of-the-art technology, and providing leadership to our young people through effective crime prevention and intervention programs.

SUMMER ADVENTURE CHALLENGE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY


The Farmington Police Department will  be hosting the inaugural Summer Adventure Challenge Leadership Academy from July 20-29th. The camp will be held Monday through Thursday the first week, and Monday through Wednesday the second week.

The purpose of the Summer Adventure Challenge Leadership Camp is to provide leadership training, life enhancing skills, personal development training, team building and to teach responsibility to one's family and community. Participants will engage in classroom instruction, discussions, athletic challenges, community service work, and other activities.

The Farmington Police Department is seeking 20 student applicants, ages 13-18 years old to participate in the leadership camp. Applications for the Summer Adventure Challenge Leadership Academy may be obtained from any of FPD's school resource officers or online. Deadline for application submission is June 12, 2015.
