Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists eligible persons and families with their utility bills. If you currently qualify for LIHEAP – you are eligible to receive assistance to offset the additional monthly solid waste charge.

Qualifications for LIHEAP
If you are not currently receiving LIHEAP and would like to qualify, you will need
  • A SSN for all household members
  • An ID for the person filing the application
  • One of the following from the past 12 months
    • A disconnect notice, if you have received on, or the cost of starting utility service at your home
    • A receipt for wood purchase
    • Account history printout from a propane company, or receipts for two propane fills with the fewest days between
    • Highest gas or electric bill for 30 days of service
  • Proof of household income
