Upcoming Events with Sycamore Park!

Calling teens, ages 13-18 years old!  Hang out from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Sycamore Park Community Center, 1051 Sycamore, with your friends and have some fun.  We will be asking you what activities you would like to see happen during future teen nights.  There is no cost to attend.  

Sponsored by Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs, the event will feature a 5K Turkey Trot and a 2 Mile Gobble Wobble walk at 9:00 am. in Downtown Farmington at Orchard Park, Orchard & Main St. This family friendly event will include activities such as children's carnival games, face painting, a kids gobble contest, music, and more. Participate in a Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble costume contest!  Enter individually or as a group- - - so bring that gaggle down and do the Gobble Wobble! This is an all weather event so please plan to participate rain or shine!  Cost is $20.  For information and call (505) 599-1184 or go to to register.

Be a part of the magic of Christmas with Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs!  Celebrate the season at the new Miracle on Main Street holiday event, held this year at the Farmington Civic Center.  There will be lots to do inside and outside on Sunday, December 6, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  There will be an Arts and Crafts Sale from noon to 6:00 p.m.  Young and old alike can get into the holiday spirit with activities including an electrifying holiday tree-lighting, ice skating rink, caroling, holiday movie, kids crafts, concessions, senior bingo, photo opportunities in a giant snow globe and much, much more!  Stay tuned for more information at or call (505) 599-1144.  This event is free, fees vary for vendor sales.

At the Sycamore Park Community Center, we are committed to providing recreational and educational programming to the entire family in a friendly and welcoming environment. That means we: 
  • Provide a safe and pleasant environment for members of the community to participate in recreational activities
  • Facilitate quality educational and recreational classes, activities, and special events for the community
  • Offer to the public a rental facility for meetings, birthday parties, receptions, showers, etc.
  • Work closely with other community agencies to provide needed classes and services to our patrons
  • Offer a computer lab to the public to use for homework, research, and email
  • Maintain a game room that offers pool, ping pong, Foosball, and air hockey
