 Farmington Lake Notification

Farmington Lake will be re-opening to non-motorized watercraft, May 1, 2015 - 10:00 a.m.

  • US 64 Paving Operations to begin August 18 - 

    Farmington - The New Mexico Department of Transportation will begin paving operations on US 64 from mile marker 57.72 to mile marker 58.00 near the SunRay Park & Casino in Farmington. This roadway improvement project is scheduled to be completed mid-September 2015; weather permitting.

Starting Tuesday, August 18, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the US 64 eastbound and westbound lanes will have one lane closures.  The contractor will be working Monday through Friday with some weekend work and will begin lane closures on the eastbound lanes and then move to the westbound lanes. Traffic can expect delays during this time. 

Cutler Repaving, Inc. out of Kansas is the contractor for this project.

Drivers are urged to proceed with caution through the work zone, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted limit.  Traffic Advisories and updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road conditions website, http://nmroads.com/. You can also call the NMDOT’s road hotline at 511 or 1-800-432-4269.

  • College and Greenbriar between Centenary and Edgecliff will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, August 24, 2015 through Friday, October 31,  2015  to allow for storm sewer and drop inlet installation.

 Utility Outage Notice

  • Apache Street between Auburn Avenue and Airport Drive will begin the second phase of a water mainline replacement.  It is anticipated that it will take approximately 45 days to complete the project.

    Please be advised Apache Street between Airport Drive and Schwartz Street will be completely closed  Monday, August 17, 2015 through Friday, October 9, 2015 to allow for a water mainline replacement. Construction hours:  8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Lee Avenue, between 20th Street and 22nd Street; water line has been installed, street resurfacing will follow. 

Detours and barricading will be in place and delays are expected. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
