FFD Press Release

Farmington Fire Department selling breast cancer awareness shirts

Proceeds to benefit Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund

FARMINGTON, N.M. - The Farmington Fire Department will be selling breast cancer awareness t-shirts throughout the month of October. Proceeds will benefit the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund, a project of the San Juan Medical Foundation. Shirts go on sale today and can be purchased Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Farmington Fire Department operations building located at 301 N. Auburn. Cash, check, debit and credit cards will be accepted.

The Farmington Fire Department has been selling breast cancer awareness shirts every October in partnership with the San Juan Medical Foundation for over a decade. Farmington Fire Chief David Burke said, “Cathy Lincoln was a member of our community. As a nurse, she devoted her life to caring for others. Sadly, at age 39, Cathy lost her battle with breast cancer. Her legacy of caring for patients lives on through the fund. We are proud to help raise funds that will benefit women in our community who are battling cancer.”

The Farmington Fire Department adheres to COVID-Safe Practices to help ensure the safety of its staff and citizens. Masks are required while inside the building. No more than two people at a time may be inside the lobby. Please note that this year we will not be accepting returns or exchanges of t-shirts. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
