[ARCHIVED] Farmington Electric Utility System and City of Farmington to host public comment meeting as part of

COF FEUS Press Release

FARMINGTON, N.M. - The Farmington Electric Utility System and the City of Farmington are hosting a public comment meeting as part of a cost of service study on Monday, Oct. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center. The study is being conducted by NewGen Strategies & Solutions.

FEUS has a long history of providing the lowest electric rates in the region. The utility and the City conduct a cost survey every three to five years to evaluate operating and maintenance costs, customer growth and revenue requirements. The rate analysis portion of the study is complete and the community is invited to provide comments during the public meeting, which will include a presentation from NewGen about current rates, the cost of service study, and the possibility of a new fee structure.

Media is invited to attend. Please RSVP to Georgette Allen at gmallen@fmtn.org.
